My loooooooooooong night

10:00 pm - went to bed

2:00 am - Cyrus wakes up crying

2:30 am - We finally get Cy calmed down

2:45 am - Ella wants to get up so I told her no. She continues to want to get up so I told her she can go into the living room but I'm staying in bed. (I figured she would be right back.) Well, I forgot she now knows how to turn on Noggin. (Yes Noggin is on 24 hrs a day!) So she is out in the living room watching Little Bear (her favorite show of course).

3:20 am - I tell her it is time to go to bed.

3:30 am - Cyrus is back up. He cried and cried. So finally I get up and I changed his diaper... still not happy. Give him a drink.... still not happy. ( I had given him Motrin earlier in case it was his teeth.) So the only thing I can think of is he is hungry. I didn't want to nurse him so I got a breakfast bar and fed him that. Ella comes out and says, "I'm hungry!". So, I get her a breakfast bar also.

4:00 am - I get to go back asleep finally!!!!

6:15 am - Cyrus is up... Yes up and happy!



One day I might get a full night sleep! I may have to go away but one day!

Our weekend

We had a great weekend! I wanted to tell you all about our weekend. It started out with a restful nap!!! Chris came home early on Friday and the kids were both sleeping! So we took a nap also. Ella went to stay with her Mee Maw (Shirley) on Friday. They went to the movie down by the river with Aunt Cye Ann and her cousin Ashley. Then, Saturday morning they went shopping. Saturday afternoon Chris and I took the kids down to the trail with my new jogging stroller. We rollerbladed on the trail. It was a lot of fun but now my legs are killing me. Saturday evening we went to Pee Paw's house for a Hess get together. They built a fire and we roasted marshmallows. I had 2 smores! YUM!!! Ella went back and stayed with Mee Maw. She told me she was going to stay for 10 days with Mee Maw, which she probably would!

On Sunday my parents came up and stayed until Monday. I got the bright idea to put new mulch outside. So Chris went and got a truck load and my dad helped us put it around. We worked on this for about 4 hours! Thanks to my dad we got it done. My mom watched the kids. She took them out to our little pool we have. Ella loved it, but Cyrus wasn't too crazy about the cold water! I posted pictures of our new mulch and flowers. The rose bush was a gift from one of my old 3rd graders 2 years ago. It is growing so much, I just love it!

After all the hard work we all went down and got ice cream. Finally on Monday the girls went to the mall. Grandma bought Ella a new pair of sandals. She was very excited. We ended our weekend with a picnic at one of my friend's house. So now I need the rest of the week to get rested up from this busy weekend!

He can survive!

Last night was the first night that Cyrus went without nursing. I have been weaning him but it was so hard to stop the night feeding. I knew he didn't need it but it got him back to sleep easier. He got up 3 times still but thanks to Chris I didn't feed him. Now I've got him down to just a morning and before bed feeding. I was worried it would be hard to wean him but he has pretty much weaned himself. Now if I can just get him to sleep through the night we'll be great!!! One day I'll get a full nights sleep... maybe.

Ella at Gymnastic Class

Ella had her final (well not really) gymnastic's class on Friday. We went there and the teacher did not show up! So we all took the kids to chick-fil-a to celebrate. Ella had a great time with gymnastics. She did learn many skills. I posted some pictures of her.

Hello!

I haven't posted lately so I thought I would give an update. Cyrus as you saw on the video is walking all over the place. His favorite thing to do is to walk into the kitchen and get into the lazy susan. He comes out with all my spices. He seems so proud of himself. We have ordered a lock for the lazy susan because he is driving me crazy!!! We also ordered safety knobs for the stove. He is already wanting to turn the knobs. I have a feeling he is going to be much more of a challenge than Ella ever was.

Ella is doing great. We just made brownies today. She got this cookbook from her Grandma Jaunita and she wanted to make something. She was a great help! Also, for those who may not know, Ella was complaining of her back hurting for sometime so we got x-rays of her back and an ultrasound done of her kidneys. Everything is just fine. Dr. Neely thinks it just may be from gymnastics. She only has one more class so we'll she is she stops complaining.

Since I am sure you are wondering, Chris and I are fine. I realize you really only want to hear about the kids!

He finally is walking!!

Today we were at Grandma Jaunita's house and Cyrus just started walking. He has been taking 4 to 5 steps on his own but today he is really walking. It was so cute to see him walk! Even though I've experienced this with Ella it is still so exciting! I will take a video soon and try to download it to the blog.

The Farm

Today I took the kids to the WV farm with the mom's club. We had a great time.
