The Childrens Parade

After my race we had the children's parade for the Forest Festival. My sister-in-law Missy made this awesome float. The kids were actually on the front of the newspaper today!

My Run

Well, it was a great run. I actually ran it in 56 minutes 10 seconds. I owe it all to my friend Ben. It is always hard to run by myself. I actually won my age group. I do have to say I was the only one in my age group! But the cool thing is I got a nice leaf plaque out of it! Anyways, here are some pictures.

Well it is an hour before my big run!! I am excited and nervous. I just had to come blog so it would calm my nerves! I'll let you know how it goes! My goal: to run it in 1 hour 10 minute. (It is about 6 miles). We'll see what happens.

Ella's big night with the Backyardigans

Chris and I got Ella tickets to go see the Backyardigans Live for her birthday. My friend Karin and her son Kyle went with us. It was a great show! The kids had a great time. I even enjoyed it!
She's excited!!

Walking together to the show.

They're already dancing!

Dancing at the end of the show.

Cyrus is a pretty boy

Pictures to keep for when he turns 16!

Ella is 4!

We had a great birthday party for Ella on Saturday. We had it at Chick-fil-a. It was a great place to have the party. The kids had a great time playing at play area. I actually made her cake with the help from my friend Karin. She had a great time. The boys were fighting over who could sit next to her and who could carry the presents. Although they did end up working together; as her friend Brody said, "Like the Wonder Pets!". All I know is Chris and I are in trouble in about 10 years! I can't believe 4 years have past since Ella came into our life!

Poor baby boy!

Cyrus was playing at Ella's school and he fell on the concrete. Poor guy has a big goose egg on his head.

Here was Ella's first big goose egg on her head. She was around 21 months. This was worse though because she fell from her stroller to the concrete.

Mee Maw and her grandkids

I love this picture. It is my mother-in-law, Shirley, with Ella, Cyrus, and Drew (Andy's baby).

Ella's first official day of school

The past Wednesday was Ella's first day of preschool. She went for a few weeks this summer just to get used to it. She goes on Tue., Wed, and Thur from 11:45 to 2:30. She loves it! I took her in and she didn't even say goodbye. The first day she told me that a girl took her shoe off. So Ella raised her hand (of course she raised her hand she is the daughter of a teacher!) and told the teacher about it. I told her that was nice but she needs to worry about herself and let the teachers take care of the other kids. The next day she was trying to tell me something and I realized she said she worried only about herself today. It was so cute!

We went to Sunday School today and she said she put her napkin in her cup when she was done just like at school. I like her school because they don't only teach academics but they focus on manners and becoming self sufficient. Here are some pics from the first day.

McCollam Family Picnic

Last weekend we went to Elkins. We had a small picnic for my dad's family. For those who don't know about my family, I have a huge family on both sides. This picnic was very small but fun! Here are some pics.
