Pictures from Christmas

This is the toy flower Ella got from "Santa". She has been asking for this for awhile. She made it up so I couldn't find it at a store. My dad came through by making this. It is a car with a flower on top. This is what she described to us and Santa. Thank goodness for my dad because she woke up Christmas morning and was a little disappointed that the toy flower wasn't there. My mom told her Santa left it in Elkins. She was happy!

My week of Christmas

Here it is
Saturday - Cy got sick
Sunday- Cy finally better/ We actually went shopping and to dinner/ came home Chris now has stomach virus
Monday- took care of the sick
Tuesday- went to Elkins to get Ella and we went to my dad's party/ came back to mo-town that night
Wed.- went to Grandma Jaunita's /came home for Cy to nap/ went to Shirley's/went to church/back to shirley's/then to pee paw's until 11:00
THur- Christmas morning with the kids/ off to Elkins at 2:00
Finally we rested some in Elkins until back to mo-town on Saturday

Crazy week! Fun but I am glad to have a few days to rest up!

poor sick boy

It is 3:25 am and I am up with my poor sick boy. Cyrus started throwing up at 9:00 this morning. He wasn't able to keep much down so we took him to Med Express about 2 pm. They gave us some nausia medicine which helped him keep some food and water down. He went to sleep about 9 and didn't wake up until about 1:00 am. He threw up a little bit, not too bad, but he was up again at 3. He is now sleeping on me as I type. Hopefully tomorrow will bring a better day.

Luckily, we had already planned for Ella to go to stay with my parents so hopefully she won't get sick. She left this morning and as far as I know she is not sick.

Why oh why!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got done watching the Mountaineer basketball team almost win over Davidson. I loveeeeeeeeeee basketball. I prefer it much more to football. I have a feeling these close games are going to do me in this year!!! They were so close. They made their foul shouts...finally. But then Curry (from Davidson) of course had to make big shots at the end. I guess that is why the announcers wouldn't shut up about him the entire game even though he shot horrible the rest of the game. I just had to vent. Chris is glad I am using the blog to vent because he is tired of listening to me!!

Christmas Already!!!

If you didn't know this... I love to decorate for Christmas. It was always one of my favorite traditions as a child. My mom would put on Elvis and Alabama Christmas records. We would decorate our entire house.

Our first year in our house Ella had just turned 2 so we decorated while she was sleeping. Last year Ella was 3 and she really helped us out. Cyrus was just a baby so he wasn't any trouble. Well this year, Cyrus was rather a handful! He wanted to grab things off the tree at first but then he got the hang of putting the ornaments on. Ella was a pro! Here are some pictures from this year.

Mee Maw (Shirley) and Aunt Cye Ann have started a new tradition with their grandchildren. They are making crafts. Here is the first craft... candle holders. Ella had a great time doing this.

Update

I know I haven't updated lately but I've finally gotten around to it. We've been busy. Ella is still liking school. She is doing well. Cyrus is doing well also. His ears seem to be much better since he got his tubes. Hopefully, we are done with ear infections. I posted a few pictures. Cyrus was left alone with Ella's markers and you will see what happened! Luckily, they were washable. The picture of Ella is from face painting at Chick-fil-a last night.

Halloween

Halloween was rather eventful. On Tuesday my MOMS Club had trunk-or-treat. The kids went around to everyone's trunk to get something for their treat bag!

Then, we went trick-or-treating at my neighborhood on Thursday. We ended Halloween by trick-or-treating in Elkins with Maxie. It was neat for Ella to go to houses that I used to go to as a child!

Today we went to Ruby to get tubes in Cy's ears. The surgery started at 8:15 and he as done at 8:30. Very quick! The doctor said... Don't go anywhere. He said he once had parents go over to Eat-n-park to eat! We were back with him at 8:30 and he started to wake up from the sleepy medicine. He cried and cried and cried! Finally, he went back to sleep and when he woke up about 45 min. later he was back to himself.

Hopefully this will stop the constant ear infections. Poor guy has been so miserable! I wish I had my camera because he looked so cute in his hospital gown!

Kid's Day at the Farm

I went with the mom's club to Rich Farm for kid's day. It was a cool day but the kids had a nice time. We went late so there wasn't anyone there. Here are some pictures.

Fall Festival at Nemacolin

Chris and I took the kids up to Nemacolin for the Fall Festival. We had a great time. They had a rock climb, kids games, pumpkin decorating, and much more. Chris and I got to do some beer tasting!!! I tried to the rock climb. It was much harder than I thought!! I didn't make it very far. Ella tried it also. She got scared but she tried.
